On this page
A customer who isn't ready yet can have their order put on Postponed. Settings › Sales & orders › Postponed orders decides whether those orders stay postponed forever or are cancelled after a while.
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. A new company starts on Never.
Set it
- Open Settings › Sales & orders › Postponed orders.
- In Automatically cancel postponed orders after, choose Never, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.
- Press Save (the footer reads 1 change not saved).
What happens next
MoveBoard checks postponed orders on its own. An order still postponed when its time is up is cancelled:
- the Order Log says it was cancelled automatically, and when it had been postponed;
- the people who follow that order are notified;
- any message your company sends when an order is cancelled goes out as your workflows say.
What postponing and cancelling do to trucks, crews and your numbers is in Postpone, cancel or archive an order.
