Move confirmation for movers: Every move confirmed the day before.
The day before each move, MoveBoard asks the customer to confirm by text, email or both, at the time you pick. They reply YES, or tap the link and press Yes, confirm my move. Dispatch › Confirmations shows who has confirmed, who is waiting and who wrote back, and reminders and a Call to confirm task follow up for you.

What is move confirmation in moving software?
Move confirmation asks each customer, the day before their move, to confirm they're still ready, so crews and trucks only go out to moves that are happening. In MoveBoard the customer replies YES to a text or taps a link, the office sees every answer on Dispatch › Confirmations, and moves with no answer get reminders and a Call to confirm task.
What it fixes
Move confirmation, the night before, sorted.
The evening before a busy day goes on calling every customer to check they're still moving.
Every customer is asked by text or email at the time you pick, and most answer with one word.
A crew drives out to a customer who postponed and forgot to tell anyone.
Anyone who hasn't confirmed shows as Waiting, and by the time you set someone gets a Call to confirm task.
Who confirmed lives in someone's head or a sticky note.
Dispatch › Confirmations, a ✓ on the job's card and a Confirmed tag on the order show it to the whole office.
How it works
Ask, remind, follow up, screen by screen.
01 / The ask
A text, an email, or both, the day before.
At the time your branch picks, the day before the move, each customer gets a short message with their day, arrival window and towns. They reply YES to the text, or tap the link to a page with your name and logo and press Yes, confirm my move. Anything else they write shows as Replied for the office to read.
- Yes, y, ok, sure or confirmed, in any capitals, all confirm
- The link is your short link, with Call us beside the confirm button
- A customer who replied STOP to your texts gets the email
- Texts are never sent between 8 PM and 8 AM in the customer's own time

02 / Dispatch › Confirmations
Every move of the day, and where it stands.
The Confirmations tab sits beside the other Dispatch tabs, on the same date and calendar. Every booked move day is a row: Confirmed (by text, by link or by the office), Waiting, Replied or Not sent, with the time. Press Send now for one move, Send to all not confirmed for the whole day, or Mark confirmed when a customer tells you on the phone.
- It updates by itself the moment a customer answers
- A red number on the tab: tomorrow's moves not confirmed yet
- A two-day move has a row on each of its days
- Mark confirmed can text the customer a thank-you

03 / Reminders
No answer? It follows up for you.
If a customer hasn't answered, a reminder goes out every 1, 2 or 3 hours, up to the number you set, and never after the time you pick or at night. Reminders stop the moment they confirm, reply, or the office marks the move. By the time you set, every move still waiting gets one shared Call to confirm task for the people you chose.
- Who calls: the order's salesperson, the dispatchers, and anyone else you tick
- Each person gets one notice, by their own notification settings
- A reply other than YES gives the order's salesperson a task and a notice

Edit every message, see it as they will.
The request, the reminder and the thank-you, by text and by email, are edited right on the Move confirmation page. Add the move's link, day, arrival window, towns and service with one press each, and the preview beside it shows the message as the customer gets it, with your newest booked move.

Workflows and Ed
Confirmations start the next step.
Two moments can start a workflow in Settings › Communication › Workflows: A customer confirmed their move, and A customer didn't confirm by the set time. Send a message, make a task or anything else a workflow can do.
Ask Ed "who hasn't confirmed tomorrow?" and get the list. With the Confirm moves permission, Ed can also send a request or mark a move confirmed: it shows you a card first, and you press to do it.
Who can use it
One permission, Confirm moves.
Sending requests and marking moves needs Confirm moves, on the Move confirmation card in Users & permissions. Dispatchers and administrators have it; give it to anyone else who handles the day before.
“Can be customized for your needs and that is a plus. Highly recommended.”
By the numbers
1
Word back confirms the move
The customer replies YES, or taps the link and presses Yes, confirm my move. Dispatch › Confirmations updates the moment they do.
How does move confirmation work?
The day before each move, at the time your branch picks, MoveBoard texts, emails or does both to the customer with their day, arrival window and towns. They reply YES or tap the link and press Yes, confirm my move. Dispatch › Confirmations shows every move as Confirmed, Waiting, Replied or Not sent.
What can the customer reply?
Yes, y, yep, yeah, confirm, confirmed, ok, okay and sure all confirm the move, in any capitals. Anything else, like "can you come at 9?", shows as Replied, and the order's salesperson gets a task and a notice to call them back.
What if a customer doesn't answer?
Reminders go out every 1, 2 or 3 hours, up to the number you set, never after the time you pick and never at night. By the time you set, every move still waiting gets one shared Call to confirm task for the people under Who calls: the order's salesperson, the dispatchers and anyone else you tick.
Can the office confirm a move for the customer?
Yes. When a customer confirms on the phone, press Mark confirmed on Dispatch › Confirmations, with or without a thank-you text. Mark not confirmed undoes it, and marking a move stops its reminders.
Can I send the requests myself?
Yes. Press Send now on a move, or Send to all not confirmed for every move of the day that isn't confirmed yet. The request goes by text, email or both, the way your branch's setting says.
Can I change the words of the messages?
Yes. Settings › Dispatch › Move confirmation has the request, reminder and thank-you, by text and email, with a live preview using your newest booked move. The same messages are in Communication › Templates, in the Move confirmation folder.
Does move confirmation cost extra?
No. Move confirmation is included in every MoveBoard plan, with no add-on fee.
