Mover payroll & commission software: Payroll that adds itself up.
The moment a job is completed, MoveBoard makes its payroll: the salesperson, the foreman and every helper, with hours from the closing, each person's own rates and commissions, and the tips split evenly. Accounting shows what everyone earned in the pay period, what you've paid them and what's still owed.

What it fixes
The day before Payroll, and the day after.
Friday night with a calculator and a stack of bills of lading.
Each job's payroll is made the moment the job is completed.
The closing changed, and now three people's pay is wrong.
Update payroll from closing shows old and new pay for everyone, then applies it.
Commission paid on tips and taxes by accident.
What's included decides the base; tips never count toward a commission.
How it works
Payroll, screen by screen.
01 / Made when the job is done
Every person on the job, paid right.
When the crew submits the bill of lading, or the office closes the job, MoveBoard makes its payroll once: the order's salesperson, then the foreman, drivers and helpers. Hours are the closing's total time; rates and commissions come from each person; the tips are split evenly across the crew. A long-distance job gets one for the pickup and one for the delivery.
- Change lines or add people, then Submit Payroll
- Seeing payroll and changing it are separate permissions
- A salesperson can't change their own commission

02 / Rates per person
How each person is paid, branch by branch.
Each person's Payroll tab in Users holds their Rate & Commission Settings for the branch: Hourly Rate, Hourly Rate as Helper, Daily Rate, Packing Commission, Additional Services Commission, Commission from Total, Per Day Bonus and Per Job Bonus. A raise can start on a future date and MoveBoard uses it from that day.
- Commissions on the sales estimate or the closing
- Daily rates and per-day bonuses become one payment per day
- New rates apply to payrolls made after you save

03 / Commissions, exactly
Show the math on every commission.
What's included decides what a percentage commission is a percent of: the whole total, or only the charges you tick, taken from the sales estimate, the closing, or only what the customer actually paid. Show the math lists every charge in the base, what counts and what doesn't, and base times percent.
- Starts from a recommended set: tips, taxes, card fees, storage and fuel out
- Commission Details report: every commission with the rule in force
- Update payroll from closing keeps rates and hand-added lines

Payrolls typed by hand
Every completed job makes its own payroll, once. Fix the closing and one press brings everyone's pay up to date, keeping anything you set by hand.
How does payroll get created automatically?
When a job is completed, because the crew submitted the bill of lading or the office closed it, MoveBoard makes its payroll once: the salesperson, the foreman, and every driver and helper on the crew. Hours come from the closing's total time, pay from each person's rates and commissions, and the closing's tips are split evenly across the crew.
Can employees have different rates at different branches?
Yes. A person's Rate & Commission Settings are kept for each branch they work in, so the same mover can have a different hourly rate, commissions and bonuses in each location.
How are tips handled?
The closing's tips are split evenly across the spots on the job's crew, each as its own Tip line. The salesperson gets a share only if they were on the crew. You can change a share in the job's payroll, and tips never count toward a commission when you set What's included.
Can I track what I've actually paid out?
Yes. Accounting shows Total payroll, Paid and Still owed for any period, by department, by person and by job. Pay someone with Apply payment, by check or cash, and the paycheck shows under them with their jobs marked paid.
What if I need to adjust payroll manually?
Add payment records pay that isn't a job: an hourly shift, a misc payment to pay or to deduct, a daily rate or a per-day bonus, with notes. You can also change any line in a job's payroll and resubmit it.
Does MoveBoard handle tax withholding and W-2s?
MoveBoard works out gross pay from real job data: hours, commissions, bonuses and tips. Withholding, W-2s or 1099s and direct deposit stay with your payroll provider, who can work from the Payroll by Employee and Payroll by Pay Period reports' CSV.
