Settings › Long distance › Cubic foot tariff holds tariffs that price a long-distance move by its volume.
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. Tariffs are kept per move type. To price a move type with one, mark it Is Active and choose Cubic Foot on Method.
Make a tariff
- Create New Tariff, type the Tariff Name, press Create.
- It starts with distance bands 0 · 250 · 500 · 1,000 · 1,500 · 2,000 · 2,500 · 3,000+ miles, one size bracket, a density of 7 lbs per cu ft, and no rates.
- Open it and type a rate per cubic foot for each band. Add size brackets if bigger moves get a lower rate.
Terms
- Minimum size — a smaller move is charged as this size.
- Minimum charge — the line haul is never below it.
- Density — the pounds per cubic foot used to state the weight. A non-binding estimate by volume that is later converted to weight must state the conversion in writing, so the estimate prints this density.
The grid, ranges and fuel work as on Mileage tariff.
