Settings › Long distance › Travel time has one question: Please select way for calculating travel time charge: on a long-distance move. Hourly moves have their own on Travel Time.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change it. It applies to every move type, and saves as soon as you pick (there's no Save button).

The crew's route on a long-distance move

On a day priced as long distance, the crew drives from your office to the pickup (and any other pickups) and back to your office. The delivery is shown on the side of the order's Addresses, with the pickup-to-delivery distance as Linehaul: that distance prices the move through your tariff, and is never crew travel. The crew's travel time, the Crew total, the dispatch board and the crew's bill all use the office → pickup → office loop.

A day priced as a local move (including a long-distance service you have set to Local Moving) keeps the whole route: office → pickup → delivery → office.

The ways

Notice: A - Origin, B - Destination, C - Company address. On a long-distance day the crew's trip ends back at C after the pickup, so the ways measure that loop: B is the pickup's way back to the office, and Way 4 (A to B) only counts drives between pickups.

WayDistance measured
Way 1One direction, with its Direction: Shortest, Longest, From C to A, or From B to C
Way 2From C to A plus from B to C
Way 3All distance: C to A, A to B and B to C
Way 4From A to B

If a change can't be saved, the old choice comes back with the reason.
