Review bonus

  • Pay a review bonus: off, the competition still runs (standings, podium) without money. On, every person's bonus goes into payroll by itself.
  • Reviews that count: the star ratings that count for the bonus and the ranking — 5★ only by default.
  • Per review ($10 by default) and Extra with a photo ($5).
  • Minimum to qualify: reviews that count a person needs before the per-review money is paid (1). A review shared with others still counts as one review they were on. The place prizes don't need it.
  • Place prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd ($100, $50, $25).
  • Who gets the bonus: - Foreman only (the default): the job's foreman gets the review money; the foremen are ranked. - Foreman and movers: everyone responsible for the review on the job — the foreman and the movers the office keeps ticked on it (see How reviews are matched). - Movers only: the movers responsible for it, not the foreman.
  • When more than one person gets it: - Each person gets the full amount: a $10 review pays $10 to each of them. - Split the amount between them: a $10 review on a job with the foreman and 2 movers pays $3.34, $3.33 and $3.33. The cents are rounded fairly — the extra cent takes turns from review to review — and the total is never more than the amount.

The photo extra follows the same rule, and so does a take-back: a removed review takes back exactly what each person got.

  • The ranking follows the money: with Foreman only the foremen are ranked as before. Otherwise every person the money goes to is ranked: with Each person gets the full amount a review counts as one whole review for each of them; with Split it counts as their share of it (1 of 3 people = ⅓ of a review) — the same way it pays. The place prizes go to the people at the top.
  • Under the choices, a preview shows what one review pays: "A 5★ review on a job with the foreman and 2 movers pays: Foreman $3.34 · each mover $3.33 — $10.00 in all".
  • Take back removed reviews: a review that paid and is later removed by the site becomes a negative payroll line.

Pay period

The competition, its podium and its bonus run per pay period, in your branch's time zone. Pick how often you pay:

  • Twice a month (the default): the 1st–15th and the 16th to the month's end — the periods of Accounting › Payroll.
  • Monthly: the calendar month.
  • Weekly: seven days, starting on the weekday you pick (Week starts on, Monday by default).
  • Every two weeks: fourteen days, counted from the First day of a period you pick. Left empty, the first new period starts the day the change starts, and every next one 14 days later.

Pay date is how many days after a period's last day it is paid (7 by default: the 1st–15th is paid on the 22nd, the 16th–end on the 7th of next month). It is shown on Reputation › Competition's period bar.

Under the choices you see This pay period with its pay date, and — before you save a new schedule — when the new one starts and what its first period will be.

A new schedule never cuts a period that has begun: it starts the day after the current period ends, and the current one runs to its end. When the first new period would be a stub (say weekly from Monday, starting on a Sunday), it runs on to the end of the next full one. The customer's QR card says how often you pay ("Every week, the crew leader whose customers…").

Matching

How a review that doesn't name a foreman is matched by his QR scan: within 4 hours before the review, within 48 hours (lenient), or By hand only. See How reviews are matched.

Changes and past periods

A change of the money or the matching applies from this pay period on; a new pay period schedule, and a change of who gets the bonus or how it is shared, from the day after this period ends (the next pay period) — the screen says when it starts. Earlier periods keep — and are paid by — the rules and the dates they had: their standings, podium and payroll lines never change.

Admins and people with Can manage the review competition change these.
