Connect your card processor — your Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key — so deposits and card payments go through.

Settings › Payments & billing › Payment processing holds your card processor's keys. Every deposit and card payment goes through them — until they're in, MoveBoard can't charge a card.

Before you start

You need an Authorize.net account. Anyone who can open Settings can save the keys. Each branch has its own.

Add your keys

  1. In Authorize.net, get your API Login ID and a Transaction Key (the steps are below, and on the page).
  2. Type the API Login ID and the Transaction Key into the Authorize.net card. A new connection needs both at once.
  3. Press Save.

A key already saved shows as dots and never comes back to the screen. Typing over it replaces it.

Getting the keys from Authorize.net

  1. Sign in to Authorize.net and click Account in the main toolbar.
  2. Click Settings in the left-side menu.
  3. Click API Credentials & Keys.
  4. Request and enter the PIN for verification.
  5. Select New Transaction Key and click Submit.
  6. Your new Transaction Key is displayed — copy it into MoveBoard.

If Disable Old Transaction Key Immediately isn't ticked, the old key expires by itself in 24 hours; ticked, it expires at once. Tick it if you suspect the old key is being misused. Keep the Transaction Key somewhere safe and never share it.

What happens next

The next deposit or card payment is charged through these keys. Card fees and the cash discount are set on Payment & processing fees.
