Settings › Sales & orders › Expiration rules keeps old quotes from staying bookable forever. What each rule does to an order, step by step, is in Quotes that expire.
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. The rules are kept per move type: pick the move type at the top. Copy to other move types puts this move type's rules on the others (it asks first with Ok); nothing is saved until you press Save.
The four cards
Quotes the customer can book online — orders in Can Book Online:
- Which jobs expire — All, or only Morning jobs.
- Morning jobs start up to — 8 AM to 12 PM (shown only for Morning).
- Expire after — 2pm to 8pm on the day before the move date.
Quotes with no activity
- Expire after this many days — Never, or 2 to 14 days with no activity from the customer or the office.
The night before the move — every status except Can Book Online:
- At midnight, a move tomorrow becomes — Expired or New Lead Past.
After a customer changes their move — a Can Book Online order the customer changes in their portal:
- Send it to New-Info so the office checks it — what happens when nothing is chosen.
- Let them keep booking when their truck is still free — the order stays bookable if the changed job still fits on its truck that day. How far it may run into another job is set in Booked jobs overlap.
- Always let them keep booking — whatever they change, except the date.
A change counts when it moves the price or the time (size, addresses, entrance or parking, packing, service, arrival window). Spelling or an apartment number never counts; a new date always sends the order to New-Date.
Save
The footer counts your changes (2 changes not saved). Press Save, or Cancel to put them back.
If something goes wrong
If the save is refused, a red bar at the top says why and nothing is changed.
