Settings › Advanced › Export data downloads your company's own data as spreadsheet files (CSV, UTF-8), one per kind of record, in one zip. Only the company's admins see this page; for everyone else it isn't in the menu and can't be opened.

Start an export {#start}

  1. Under What to export, tick what you want: Orders, Customers, Storage (tenants, storage invoices and storage payments), Invoices, Payments, Payroll (job pay lines, other pay and deductions, paychecks), Claims, Monthly summary — or tick Everything.
  2. With Everything you can also tick Include the order documents and photos: the signed papers, uploads and crew photos, in folders by order number.
  3. Under Dates, pick All dates, from the beginning, or A date range and its first and last day.
  4. Press Start export.

MoveBoard builds the export in the background — you can leave the page. It usually takes a minute or two; a company with many years of orders, or with documents and photos, can take longer. When it's ready you get a notification (the bell) and an email with a Download the export link. Nothing is exported, and nothing changes for anyone, until an admin presses Start export.

One export is made at a time for the company; Start export waits until the one being made is ready. A company can start up to 10 exports a day.

Download it {#download}

Your exports lists every export of the last 60 days: what, which dates, who started it and when, and its state — Waiting to start, Being built (with what it's working on), Ready, Could not be finished or Expired.

  • Download (on a ready export) downloads the zip. It can be downloaded from the page for 7 days, then it expires and is removed.
  • The email's link works for 24 hours, without signing in — keep the email to yourself. After that, download it from this page.
  • Delete removes the file at once; Stop stops an export still being made.

Every export started, downloaded and deleted is written in the company's activity log with who did it.

README.txtwhat's inside and how to read it
  • Money is a plain number with two decimals and no currency sign (1234.50); a refund or a deduction is negative. Net amount in the payments files is what counted: a processed payment, minus a refund, nothing for a declined or voided one.
  • Dates and times are your branch's local time.
  • The dates you pick choose each record by its own date: an order by the day it was created, a payment by its payment date, an invoice by its issue date, payroll by its payroll date, a claim by the day it was made, a storage tenant by their move-in date. Customers are the customers of the orders in the dates (their counts include all their orders).
  • Documents: one export holds up to 3.5 GB of documents and photos. If there are more, the rest are listed in documents-index.csv as not in the zip — export a shorter date range to get them.

What is never exported {#never}

Passwords, keys and tokens, full card numbers (a card shows only its type and last four digits), and anything of another company. An admin's export covers every branch of the company.
