New order defaults
The move type and service a new order starts with, and whether the Create Order pop-up is skipped.

On this page
When someone in the office presses + New and New Order, MoveBoard asks for the move type and the service in a small Create Order pop-up. Settings › Sales & orders › New order defaults chooses what that pop-up starts with — or skips it altogether.
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. Only the move types your branch takes and its active services are offered.
The fields
In the Create draft orders card:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Skip the Create Order pop-up | On: a new order opens straight away with the two defaults below, without asking. The line under it says what will happen, for example New order opens straight away as Residential · Local Move. |
| Move type | The move type a new order starts with. |
| Service type | The service a new order starts with. |
Change it
- Choose the Move type and Service type.
- Optional: switch on Skip the Create Order pop-up.
- Press Save (the footer counts your changes).
The move type and service can always be changed on the order afterwards.
Good to know
- With the switch on but no move type or service picked, the hint says Pick a move type and a service type the branch offers below; until then the pop-up still shows.
- If a chosen default stops being available (you stop taking that move type, or switch the service off), the pop-up asks again for an available one before the order is made.
