Settings › Company & branches › Branches lists every location of your company. Most companies have one branch; a company with several sees which one is the main one and which one you are working in right now.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings sees this page. Only an administrator can add a branch, change a branch's details or copy settings between branches.

What each branch card shows

  • Tags: Main (the main branch), You are working here (the branch picked in the top bar) and its status (active or not).
  • Office and Trucks leave from (the parking address).
  • Phone and Contact.
  • Sends mail as — the branch's sending address, and the mail server when one is set.
  • Website, units — the branch's website, move unit and distance unit.
  • Settings copied from … — when the branch started as a copy of another branch, and on which day.

Change a branch's details

  1. Press Company info on the branch's card.
  2. Change what you need under Basic info (Name, Phone, Contact first name, Contact last name, Contact email, New office address, New parking address, Move unit, Distance unit) and Sending email (From address, SMTP host, SMTP username, SMTP password, Encryption).
  3. Leave an address box blank to keep the address the branch has.
  4. Press Save. The card shows Saved.

The company-wide details of the branch you work in (time zone, licenses, move types…) are on Company info.

Add a branch

  1. Press Add a branch (top right).
  2. Type the Name, Phone, Office address and Where the trucks leave from (blank means the office).
  3. Under Copy Settings: choose how its settings start: - Start fresh — the settings every new company starts with. - Copy all settings from: — every setting of the branch you pick. - Advanced Copy — start fresh, then copy only the categories you tick (All / None, or type in Find a category) from the branch you pick.
  4. Press Add the branch.

A new branch gets none of the other branches' orders, customers or people. Only the people put in it can work in it; they move between branches with the switcher in the top bar (Work in another branch).

Copy settings into an existing branch

With more than one branch, an administrator sees Advanced copy on each card.

  1. Press Advanced copy on the branch that should receive the settings.
  2. Pick Copy settings from and tick the categories.
  3. Press Copy settings.

What the receiving branch had for those categories is replaced; categories you did not tick are left alone.

Copy one settings page to another branch

With more than one branch, an administrator also sees Copy to branch at the top of every settings page whose settings can be copied (rates, taxes, valuation, deposits, packing, services, inventory, templates, policies, quote display and the others a category covers). It copies from the branch you're working in.

  1. Open the settings page, for example Pricing & calculator › Taxes.
  2. Press Copy to branch. The pop-up says "From your branch into the other branch".
  3. Pick the branch under Copy into. This page's settings are already ticked; tick more if you want.
  4. Press Copy to *branch*. The pop-up shows Copying settings…, then Last copy into … completed.

Pages about the whole company or one person (company info, users, integrations, order numbering) have no Copy to branch.

If something goes wrong

  • That contact email does not look right.
  • Encryption is SSL, TLS or none. / That is not a port. — check the sending email fields.
  • Failed to copy settings — the branch was made but the chosen settings were not copied; use Advanced copy on its card to try again.
