Flat rate (hourly moves)

Settings › Pricing & calculator › Flat rate (hourly moves) sets how MoveBoard builds a single fixed price for a local move instead of an hourly estimate. When a move is quoted flat, and how the customer sees it, is in Flat rate moves.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. It is kept per move type (pick it at the top). Nothing is saved until you press Save; Copy to other move types fills the others and waits for Save too.

Rates — What the flat rate of an hourly move is built from

• Rate per unit (per cubic foot or pound), Rate per mile (or per km), and Start charge from distance — the distance is charged from here on.

How the distance is measured — Way 1 (one leg, with its Direction), Way 2, Way 3 or Way 4, as on Travel Time.

Flat rate charge increase by elevation — What each entrance adds to the flat rate: an amount per entrance, and whether the customer sees it.

Distance to parking lot — an amount per parking-distance range.

Volume discounts — Can only select one discount type: a flat Discount or a discount on the rate per unit, each a list of For shipments over a size. Removing a row asks first.

Quote details — What the flat rate price includes and what the customer sees

• Add Calculated Fuel Surcharge to Flat Rate Price and Display Fuel Surcharge.
• Add Calculated Other Fees to Flat Rate Price and Display Other Fees.
• Display Additional Services.

If something goes wrong

Save refuses a box that holds something that isn't a number and says which.
