Settings › Inventory › Typical inventory keeps the usual contents of a room ("Kitchen: 10 medium boxes, a dining table, 4 chairs, a fridge") and of a move size. A customer — or the office — fills an order's inventory from these in one step, then changes what is different.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. It is kept per move type (pick it at the top). Nothing is saved until you press Save.

A new company starts with ready room lists and move-size lists.

Use typical inventory

  • Use typical inventory on — Customers are offered these lists on their inventory page, and the office can fill an order from them.
  • Off — customers are not offered the lists and the office can't fill an order from them. The lists are kept (dimmed) and can still be changed.

By room

Typical inventory by › room: pick a room on the left; on the right are its usual items.

  • Add items — search the catalog or browse by category, set a quantity; Done adding when finished.
  • Change a quantity, take an item off, or drag to reorder.

By move size

Pick a move size on the left; on the right are the rooms that size holds.

  • A size with no list of its own shows From the room lists — each room filled from its room list, following it.
  • Change anything and the size keeps its own copy, bigger or smaller than usual.
  • Reset to the room's list puts one room back; Use the room lists again puts the whole size back. Add a room / Remove room change the size's rooms.

A totals line shows items, boxes, cu ft and lbs, as the customer's page shows them.

Copy and save

Copy to other move types makes the other move types' lists copies of this one's (matched by name), after asking; it waits for Save too.

Good to know

  • A room left with nothing in it isn't kept.
  • An item no longer in the catalog is marked No longer in the catalog — It is dropped when you save.
  • With no rooms or sizes, the page tells you to add them first on Rooms or Move Size.
