400N tariff

Settings › Long distance › 400N tariff holds tariffs built the 400N way: a line-haul rate per 100 lbs (cwt) for each mileage band and weight bracket, plus accessorial charges. You enter or import your own rates — none are filled in for you.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. Tariffs are kept per move type. To price a move type with one, mark it Is Active and choose 400N-style on Method.

Make a tariff

1. 1Press Create New Tariff, type the Tariff Name, press Create.
2. 2It starts with distance bands from 0 to 3,001+ miles (km for a kilometre company), weight brackets 1,000 · 2,000 · 4,000 · 8,000 · 12,000 · 16,000+ lbs, a 1,000 lb minimum, and no rates.
3. 3Open it and type your rates into the grid — or download the template and import it.

400N-style terms

Above the grid (saved with its own Save):

• Minimum weight and Minimum charge — The line haul is never below this.
• Line haul discount — a percent off the line haul.
• Accessorial discount — The percent off every accessorial section but the fuel surcharge.
• Line haul rates are per (lbs) and Accessorial rates are per — 100 means per cwt.

Accessorials opens every accessorial rate, section by section: packing, unpacking, extra stops, shuttle, long carry, stairs, elevator, bulky articles, appliance service, extra labor, overtime, storage-in-transit and fuel.

Download template gives the tariff as a spreadsheet; fill it in and Import CSV reads it back.
