Settings › Long distance › Single factor tariff holds tariffs that charge one all-inclusive rate per 100 lbs: line haul and the standard accessorials in one figure. Fuel, storage-in-transit, third-party services and excess valuation stay separate.
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. Tariffs are kept per move type. To price a move type with one, mark it Is Active and choose Single Factor Rate on Method.
Make a tariff
- Create New Tariff, type the Tariff Name, press Create.
- It starts with distance bands from 0 to 3,001+ miles, one weight bracket and no rates.
- Open it and fill in the grid: one rate per distance band.
Terms
The line above the grid says what the tariff charges besides its rates; Terms opens every setting:
- How the rate is set — Its own rates (the grid), with optional State-to-state rates that win when the route matches; or a percent off another tariff (Base tariff and Percent off the base's line haul — the grid isn't used then).
- Rates are per (100 = per cwt).
- Minimum weight and Minimum charge.
- Included in the rate — the accessorials the rate covers. What is not ticked is charged by your Long Distance Extra Fees, as on a mileage tariff — see Extra fees.
- Fuel surcharge (blank: the LD fuel setting's percent).
If something goes wrong
There is no Mileage, 400N-style or Cubic Foot tariff for this move type to be a percent off. — make one of those first.
