Settings › Company & branches › Company info is who your company is: its name and contact, where it is, the clock it runs on, its licenses, how it measures moves, and the kinds of move it takes. It is the first page to fill in when you start.
Each branch has its own Company info. The page shows the branch you are working in (the branch switcher is in the top bar).
Before you start
Anyone who can open Settings can change this page: the Settings switch in the Main menu card of their Permissions tab (administrators always can).
The cards
| Card | Fields | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| The company | Company name, Company legal name, Email, Phone, First name, Last name, Site | The name and contact your customers see on emails, documents and their page. Site is your website address. |
| Address | Country, Postal code, City, State, Street 1, Street 2 | Your office. Type a whole US ZIP or Canadian postal code and City, State and Country fill in by themselves. Once the address has a postal code, Country is locked. |
| Parking address | Use same address for parking | Where the trucks leave from. Switch it off to type a separate yard address. Travel time to the first stop is measured from here. |
| Time zone | Detect it from the company address, Detect it from the parking address, Time zone | Every date and time of the branch is read in this clock. Turning one "detect" switch on turns the other off. |
| Customer account domain | Domain URL, Privacy policy URL, Terms and conditions URL | The web address your customers' pages open on, and the two policy links shown there. |
| Licenses | US DOT license, MC license, Local license | Printed where your documents show your license numbers. |
| Units | Distance unit (Miles / Kilometers), Move unit (Cubic Feet / Pounds), Conversion rate | How distance and move size are measured everywhere. Conversion rate is the pounds in one cubic foot; every price that turns volume into weight uses it. |
| Move types | Accept … orders for Residential, Commercial and Military, each with a name box | Which kinds of move you take. Type a name to call a move type something else everywhere (the same names as Move type names). |
Save your changes
- Change what you need. A bar appears at the bottom: Changes not saved.
- Press Save. Cancel puts everything back.
Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks you first.
Changing the move unit
The move unit is not saved with Save — it switches at once, after a question:
- Press the other unit (Cubic Feet or Pounds).
- The Change the move unit pop-up shows what will change: every size setting is converted at the saved conversion rate.
- Press Convert and switch.
A green note then says what changed, with Undo. Orders already made keep the unit they were made in.
Defaults for a new company
A company starts in miles and cubic feet (Canadian companies in kilometers), with all three move types accepted.
If something goes wrong
The red bar at the top says what to fix, for example:
- Company name must not be blank.
- Please enter valid email.
- Phone number must not be less than 10 digits.
- Site url must be valid DNS name, ex: https://example.com
- Company address: State is a required field and must use a 2 character state abbreviation.
- Company address: Please enter a valid USA zip code.
- Time zone is required. — pick one, or switch on a "detect" switch.
- Conversion Rate must be more than 0.
- At least one move type must remain enabled. — you tried to switch off the last move type.
- Save the conversion rate first: the size settings are converted at the saved rate.
