MoveBoard works for movers across the US and Canada. Three settings in Settings › Company & branches › Company info decide the units every price uses.
Distance unit
Miles or Kilometers. Distances between stops, travel radiuses, fuel by distance, long-distance mileage and the bill of lading all use it. Press Save after changing it.
Move unit
Cubic Feet or Pounds — how move sizes, truck capacities and crew-size rules are measured.
Switching it changes your settings too, so MoveBoard asks first: for example Convert all size settings from cubic feet to pounds at 7 lbs/cu ft?, with a list of what will change.
- Convert and switch changes the unit and converts every size setting at once, at the saved conversion rate.
- Right after, a note says what changed, with Undo to put the exact values back.
- Orders already made keep the unit they were made in.
If you've just changed the conversion rate, save it first: Save the conversion rate first: the size settings are converted at the saved rate.
The same switch appears on Settings › Long distance › Regions; it's the same setting.
Conversion rate
Pounds in one cubic foot (7 unless you change it). MoveBoard uses it wherever a volume becomes a weight — for example the lbs shown beside an inventory's cubic feet, and long-distance tariffs priced by weight.
