Extra stops take the crew longer — MoveBoard already prices that time through the route and the labor. On top of it, you can charge a flat fee for extra stops, added to the quote by itself.
Set up the fee
- Go to Settings › Pricing & calculator › Additional stop fees.
- Pick the move type.
- Switch on Charge a flat fee for additional stops.
- Type the Additional Stop Fee in dollars.
- Under Service types, press Click to Add Service Type and pick the services it applies to. Each service can be in one fee block per move type. Long distance and junk removal aren't offered.
- Choose How the fee is charged: Charge only once for ALL additional stops, or Charge an additional stop fee for EACH additional stop.
- Press Save.
Press Add for another block with a different amount for other services. Click a block to select it, then Delete (MoveBoard asks first). A block is kept only once it has an amount above $0 and at least one service type.
Copy to other move types fills the other move types with the same blocks, waiting for Save.
How the fee reaches the order
The fee is added by itself. Every stop beyond the pickup and the drop-off is an extra stop: a move with three addresses has one, four addresses have two. When the block for the order's move type and service is switched on, the fee goes into Quote Details › Other Fees as Additional stop fee — once, or once per extra stop, as the block says. It's part of the totals, and shows on the estimate, the customer's page, the bill of lading and the closing.
- Add or take off a stop and the fee follows at once.
- Switched off (or no block for that move type and service): no fee.
- To leave it off one order, open Other Fees in Quote Details, switch Additional stop fee off and press Save. Changing the stops later keeps it off on that order.
- Orders that already exist get it too, the next time their quote is worked out. A completed order, a job the crew has already started, and a bill of lading or closing that's already made keep what they had.
