Hiding the price from customers
Decide when a customer sees their price in the portal and on your website forms — and release it on one order.

Some companies want to talk to a customer before they see a price. MoveBoard lets you hide the price while an order is still a lead, and show it once you're ready.
The rule
- Can Book Online, Reserved and Booked orders always show the price. Nothing can hide it then — the customer needs it to book and pay.
- Before that (New, Follow Up and the other lead statuses), the price is hidden unless: - the office released it on that order (Portal visibility, below), or - the lead came from the AI receptionist and AI Leads on the Customer Account is on for its move type, or - your company switched on Let the Customer Account column decide for New and Follow Up orders and the order's service has Show the quote on the Customer Account on.
Release the price on one order
- Open the order.
- On the Customer card, open the contact status (Contact Status — whether we write to this customer, and whether they see their quote).
- Switch Portal visibility on.
- Press SAVE.
The order's own switch wins over the settings.
A new order starts released when its service's Show the quote on the Customer Account is on (with no setting, it is). A lead from the AI receptionist starts not released, so its AI Leads switch decides.
Set it up
Go to Settings › Customer experience › Quote display and pick the move type. For each service:
- Show the quote on the Customer Account — the customer's portal (counts as described above).
- Forms — whether your website forms show a price at the end. Turn all on sets the whole column.
Also on this page: AI Leads on the Customer Account, the company-wide Let the Customer Account column decide for New and Follow Up orders (off to start with), and the thank-you words your website form shows while the price is being prepared (with a Preview).
Press Save.
What the customer sees instead
While the price is hidden, the customer still sees everything else — dates, addresses, crew, trucks, arrival window and inventory. Where the price would be, they see purpose-made cards. The figures are never sent to their browser at all, so they can't be found by looking behind the page.
