The sold quote
Once a customer has agreed to a price, MoveBoard keeps it — here's when the sold quote stops changing, and where the real numbers go.

The sold quote is the price the customer agreed to. MoveBoard protects it, so a settings change or a date move never changes what was sold.
When the sold quote stops changing on its own
- Reserved and Booked orders are never repriced by a settings change — not by the price calendar, truck speed or packing. See When a settings change reprices orders.
- The office can still change a Reserved or Booked order by hand, until the job starts.
When the sales side locks
Once the crew starts the job (the customer's first signature on the bill of lading), the sales quote of that day is locked. What really happened — the crew's hours, extra materials, the final payment — goes on the closing side. See Why some fields are locked.
So every job keeps two sets of numbers:
- Sales — what you sold.
- Closing — what was actually charged. The job's profit is worked out from these.
On the closing side, tick Sales info on a card to see the sold figure beside each closing figure.
A finished job moved to another date
If a completed job is reopened and moved to another date from the closing side, the sold quote stays exactly as sold — rates, calendar levels, minimum hours, fuel, travel, fees and totals. Only the date changes. The crew and trucks move with the day, and the closing keeps its own figures.
