Elevator floors

Make a 30th-floor elevator move take (and cost) more than a 3rd-floor one, with floor ranges you define.

By default an elevator is an elevator: the crew is slowed by your Elevator entrance's percent, whatever the floor. Elevator floors let higher floors count for more. They're off until you set them up, so existing quotes don't change.

On the order

On an address card, choose an elevator under Floor or entrance. A floor box appears next to it — pick the floor the elevator goes to (1 to 200). The price follows straight away.

For local moves: slow the crew by floor

  1. Go to Settings › Pricing & calculator › Mover Speed and pick the move type.
  2. Make sure you have an Elevator entrance (any entrance whose name contains "elevator").
  3. Under Elevator Floors, press Add Floor Range.
  4. Enter the Starting Floor, the Ending Floor and the Additional Reduction in percent — for example floors 11–20, 2%.
  5. Press Save.

The table shows the crew's estimated speed for each range. A range's reduction is applied on top of the elevator's own, per stop: the loading stop's floor slows loading, the unloading stop's floor slows unloading. If no range fits the floor, only the elevator's own reduction is used.

For long-distance moves: charge by floor

  1. Go to Settings › Long distance › Extra fees.
  2. Under Elevator floor, add floor ranges with a Charge.

An elevator stop whose floor falls in a range is charged that range's amount instead of the usual elevator charge — per 100 cu ft (or the pounds you use) or flat, the same way your elevator fee is priced.
