Settings › Pricing & calculator › Mover Speed tells the calculator how fast your crews work. Labor time is the move's size divided by the crew's speed, slowed by the conditions at each stop. The reasoning and examples are in Mover speed explained.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. It is kept per move type (pick it at the top). Nothing is saved until you press Save.

The cards

Crew Speed — Set the estimated volume a crew can move per hour under different job conditions.

  • The Movers tabs (1 to 8): the crew's speed in your move unit per hour.
  • Under it, the entrances (stairs, elevator, walk-up…): each slows the crew by a percent and can be shown to the customer or not.

Elevator Floors — Adjust crew speed based on the floor when an elevator is used. Floor ranges, each slowing the crew by a further percent. A new company starts with 6–10 floors 2%, 11–20 4%, 21–30 6%, 31–50 9% and 51–200 12%. See Elevator floors.

Parking Distance — Adjust crew speed based on the walking distance between the truck and the property. Distance ranges, Over, or Unknown, each a percent.

Packing / Unpacking — partial or full packing adds its percent to the loading time; unpacking adds to the unloading time.

Change a row

  • Click a row to select it; click it again to open Edit: … (Name, Speed Reduction, Show to Customer; a Parking Distance row shows Distance From and Distance To in feet).
  • Add opens the same pop-up empty. Delete removes the selected row after a Warning.
  • Drag a row by its grip to reorder.

Press Save when done.

If something goes wrong

Save refuses a speed box that doesn't hold a number and says which.
