Settings › Customer experience › Client portal is where you shape the page your customers use to see their quote, book, pay and fill in their inventory. You work on the real portal, exactly as customers see it.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change the portal. Nothing reaches your customers until you press Save.

The page has two parts, chosen beside the title: Design and Install.

Design

The portal shows in a frame. Switch between Desktop and Phone, move between Portal pages, and use Preview the quote to see it with or without a price (Quote shown / Quote hidden).

Click any element of the portal. A panel opens beside it (a sheet from the bottom on a phone):

  • Visibility — Customers see this, or Switched off.
  • What customers can do — Customers can do this, or stop it (for example, changing the move date).
  • Wording — your own words for it.
  • Color — a Color code, and Color applies to this element alone or all elements of its kind.
  • Reset this element puts it back as it was.

Undo takes back the last change. Reset all to the theme gives every element its colour from the theme again.

Colors

Colors opens the portal's colours beside the frame. Change the theme's colours, or press Match my brand: type your website (or use your logo), and MoveBoard suggests a whole theme — Use this theme puts it on the portal for you to adjust. Text that would be hard to read is named (Pick a darker color.) and the portal switches to white or dark text there.

When you're done, press Save at the bottom: Saved. Your customers see it the next time a portal page opens.

Install — put the portal on your website

  1. Make a page on your website for customers, for example "My move".
  2. Copy the Embed code (recommended) and paste it where the portal should appear (in WordPress, Wix or Squarespace: an "HTML" or "Embed code" block). If your website builder doesn't take scripts, use the plain frame instead, with its Frame width.
  3. Publish the page. The portal fits the page and grows with it; the links in your emails and texts can point to that page.

Each branch has its own line.
