Settings › Pricing & calculator › Move Size is the list a salesperson (and the customer on your website form) picks the size of the move from — "2 bedroom apartment", "3 bedroom house" — with the volume each one stands for. How move size, inventory and a custom volume work together on a quote is in Move size, inventory or custom volume.

Before you start

Anyone who can open Settings can change this page. It is kept per move type (pick it at the top). Nothing is saved until you press Save.

The two lists

  • Room size — single rooms that can be added to a move (an office, a garage, a basement…), each with its size.
  • Bedroom size — the sizes of the move itself, each with its size and the rooms that size usually holds (shown as chips; a filled chip is a room included by default).

Sizes are in your move unit (set on Company info).

Each bedroom size also shows its Lead # — the number lead sellers send to say which size a lead is (see below). A size you just added shows Number given on Save until you press Save.

For lead providers

Companies that sell you leads name the move size by its Lead #. Press the copy button next to a number to copy just that number, or open For lead providers › Show instructions, tick the move types, and press Copy instructions for the full text to send them: the address, the headers, a sample lead and every bedroom size as 33 => Large 1 Bedroom condo/aprt. The text uses the saved sizes, so press Save first after a change. More in Send leads by API.

Change the lists

  • Add puts a new row in a list; type its Name and size.
  • Drag a row by its handle (Drag to reorder) to change the order it's offered in.
  • Delete takes a row off. Taking off a room that a bedroom size lists asks first, and takes it off that size too.
  • Copy to other move types fills the other move types with these lists (it asks first). A size the other move type already has (same name) takes the new numbers and rooms; only sizes it has that this move type doesn't are taken off.

Changing a name or a size's number is never a removal — only Delete takes a row off, and only the rows you deleted are taken off when you press Save.

Press Save when done.

Also used by

  • Typical inventories are kept per move size — see Typical inventory.
  • Your website form offers these sizes to the customer.

If something goes wrong

Save refuses a row with no name, two rows with the same name in one list, or a size that isn't a whole number of 0 or more.

A size you deleted that something still uses can't be taken off — for example The bedroom size "Studio" cannot be removed: 1 typical inventory (Inventory › Typical inventory) still uses it. Nothing on the page is saved then: change or remove that typical inventory first (or put the row back with Cancel), then save again.
