The card number never touches MoveBoard

When a card is typed in — by your office, by the customer in their portal, or by the crew on the bill of lading — the number, expiration and security code go from the browser straight to your card processor, Authorize.net, through its secure form. MoveBoard receives only a one-time token standing for the card.

Everywhere a card is typed it looks the same: a card with the brand at the top right, the number in the middle, the name at the bottom left and the expiration at the bottom right, with the security code and ZIP under it. On your customers' screens (their portal, payment links, your website's box store, and the crew's phone when the customer pays there) the card is in your company's colors. The name starts at the customer's name, and the cursor moves from the number to the expiration, the security code and the ZIP by itself.

What MoveBoard keeps

  • The last four digits, the card type, the cardholder's name, the expiration and the ZIP — enough to show the card and pick it.
  • A reference to the card stored at Authorize.net, so it can be charged again (cards on file).

The full card number and the security code are never stored in MoveBoard.

Cards are checked before they're kept

A card added on file is checked with the customer's bank first, and kept only if the bank approves. See Cards on file.

Every charge is accounted for

MoveBoard writes down what a charge is for before sending it, so an approved charge always ends up on the order — even if something fails in between. See When a card is declined.
