The Order for Service is what the customer signs to book their move: the move, the price, and your terms. Some companies also ask for an estimate signature.
Where the customer signs it
On the booking page of their portal, or with you on the office signing page. See Book a job. The document fills in the order's details — dates, addresses, crew, price, deposit — and your Company Policies and Cancellation Policy are agreed inside it.
When a company has more than one document for a move, the customer reviews and signs each (Review your documents).
Set up your documents
Go to Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Estimate & order for service. Switch between Estimate signatures and Order for service at the top.
- Your documents are listed on the left; add one under the list.
- For the chosen document: its Name, Enabled, Edit block (the words and the order's details placed in it), and Block settings.
- Below the document, what it's for: move types, services, estimate types, Multi Day or single day, and Show on confirmation page.
Press Save. MoveBoard picks, for each order, the enabled documents whose settings fit the move.
After signing
- The signed document is kept on the order: open it from Signed documents on the Payments window's Booking & signing tab.
- The order's Deposit row shows Signed, with who and when.
- The Order Log notes the signature.
When the move changes after booking
If a change is big enough to need a new signature — for example the move became long distance — you can move the order back to Reserved so the customer signs the Order for Service again. See When a move becomes long distance.
