Your rules set the deposit and the fuel surcharge on every order. On one order you can use your own figure instead — if you have the permission.

Change the deposit

  1. In the order's Quote Details, type the amount in the Deposit box.
  2. Press SAVE.

Hover over the box: The office's own figure. Clear it to go back to the deposit rules. To go back, clear the box and save.

On a multi-day move, pick the day first — the box is read-only on ALL.

You need the permission to edit the deposit amount. Without it the Deposit box is greyed out and you can't type in it — hover over it: You don't have permission to edit the deposit. This is the same on every day of a multi-day move and on a phone.

Change the fuel surcharge

  1. Press the Fuel Surcharge row in Quote Details.
  2. Choose your company's rule, a percent, or a flat amount.
  3. Press Save in the pop-up, then SAVE on the order.

A typed percent is taken of the same base as Settings › Pricing & calculator › Fuel surcharge › Fuel surcharge is a percent of: the moving charges, or labor and travel only. The pop-up shows that base and its amount next to the box. A flat amount is charged as typed.

On a long-distance order, the fuel you type wins over the long-distance fuel setting, on the quote and on the bill of lading.

You need the permission to edit the fuel surcharge amount. Without it the row says You don't have a permission to edit this field. See Fuel surcharge.

When you can't change them

Once the day's job has started or is completed, the sales quote is locked — see Why some fields are locked.
