Connect your Stripe account

Take cards through your company's own Stripe account — connect it in a minute, see whether it can take cards, and disconnect it.

MoveBoard can take cards through Stripe as well as Authorize.net. You connect your company's own Stripe account: the money goes straight to it, and your payouts, disputes and the name on your customers' card statements stay yours, in your Stripe dashboard.

Only a company admin can connect or disconnect Stripe.

Connect it

  1. Go to Settings › Payments & billing › Payment processing.
  2. In the Stripe card, press Connect with Stripe.
  3. Stripe's own page opens. Sign in to your Stripe account — or open one there — and allow MoveBoard to take payments on it.
  4. Stripe brings you back to the same page with Your Stripe account is connected.

The card now shows your Stripe account's name and whether it can take cards:

  • Ready — cards and payouts are on.
  • Taking cards · payouts not on yet — Stripe still needs your bank details for payouts.
  • Not able to take cards yet — Stripe still needs something from you. The card lists what (for example external account or verification document). Press Finish in Stripe, then Refresh.

Connecting doesn't change anything by itself: cards still go through Authorize.net until you pick Stripe. See Choose your card processor.

Disconnect it

Press Disconnect, then Disconnect again to confirm. MoveBoard can no longer take payments on your Stripe account, and new cards go back to Authorize.net. Your Stripe account itself — its money and history — isn't touched.

If someone removes MoveBoard from your account inside Stripe instead, the card says so: connect it again to keep taking cards through Stripe.
