Partial payments
Taking part of the balance now and the rest later — what MoveBoard does today.

Settings › Payments & billing › Partial payments is greyed: an automatic partial-payment plan (for example, half now and half in 30 days) isn't offered yet.
What you can do today
You can always take any amount as a payment — there's no rule that a payment must be the whole balance.
- Open the order's Payments window and press Create Charge.
- Type the part the customer is paying now in Amount.
- Charge or record it.
The order's Balance shows what's still owed. Take the next part the same way when it's due — a card on file makes that easy. See Cards on file.
To ask the customer to pay the rest themselves, send an invoice for the remaining amount. See Create and send an invoice.
