Orders
Postpone, cancel or archive an order
What Postponed, Cancelled and Archived each do to an order, its trucks, its crew and your numbers.

Change an order's status with the status button at the top of the order window, then press SAVE.
Postponed
For a booked customer who isn't moving on that date but hasn't decided when.
- The order keeps everything; it just waits.
- When they're ready, move it to Reserved. When the customer signs and it's booked again, the Order Log says Order … was booked again after being postponed on … — it keeps its original booking date for your reports.
- Your company can cancel postponed orders by itself after a while: Settings › Sales & orders › Postponed orders — Never (the default), 1, 2, 3 or 6 months, or 1 year. The Order Log then says it was cancelled automatically, and when it was postponed.
Cancelled
For a move that's not going to happen.
- The trucks are freed straight away — on every day of the order, with a line in the Order Log per truck, for example Truck 2) 26 Ft. Truck released — order cancelled.
- The crew comes off each day whose job hasn't started. A job already loading or further keeps its crew, because their hours are real.
- Everyone on a crew gets a text that the job was cancelled — from your Job Cancelled template, which you can edit or switch off in Settings › Communication › Templates.
If the customer comes back, move the order out of Cancelled. Nothing is held for it — place it on a truck again.
Archived
Archived is for orders that should never have existed — duplicates, tests, mistakes. For the office it is the same as deleted:
- No one sees it anywhere — lists, search, calendar, dispatch, reports, dashboards, Ed or exports.
- Its money isn't counted in any total.
- Only admins can find it, with the Archived filter, and open it.
Payroll is the exception: payroll on an archived order is never deleted and still counts everywhere payroll shows, marked as an archived order.
When you can't archive
- Completed job — This job is completed. Reopen the job first to change its status. See Completed jobs and reopening.
- Linked to storage — This order is linked to storage tenant #… (still in storage). Unlink it in the storage tenant window before archiving.
- Has payroll — MoveBoard names the people and asks; press Archive anyway to go ahead.
