Book a box delivery from an order
Services › Box delivery — pick the boxes or a bundle, choose the day, the window and who delivers on a schedule that knows who is busy, and charge the card. Paid separately from the move.

When a customer calls for boxes, book them right from their order. Box delivery has to be switched on for your company first (Settings › Services & packing › Box delivery).
Open it
Open the order and press Services. Under In-home estimate and Virtual estimate there is Box delivery. It is there even when the move is too small for an estimate visit — the size rule only holds back the estimates.
The pop-up has three parts, top to bottom.
1. Boxes
Your company's bundles (one price each, with what's included and the full value crossed out) and single boxes and supplies. Use − and +, or type how many.
Suggested for this move works out a list from the order: its cubic feet (from the inventory, or the move size), the TVs, pictures and mirrors (picture boxes) and mattresses (mattress bags) in its inventory. Press See it to choose a light, normal or heavy packer and essentials or full protection; press Use it to fill the cart. When a bundle plus a few extras is cheaper than the items one by one, it suggests that.
2. When & who
- Day — today or later. The office can book sooner than a website order would get.
- Window — your company's delivery windows for that day. Each shows how many more it takes; a full one says full (you can still book it).
- Should take — how long the delivery keeps the person busy.
- Who delivers — a row per person, the hours across, like the in-home estimate's schedule. The people with the Box Delivery responsibility come first (your default deliverer at the top). Tick Show foremen & drivers to send a foreman or a driver instead.
On each row you see what already holds that person that day:
| Block | What it means |
|---|---|
| Green / blue | An in-home or virtual estimate — a time that runs into it is refused |
| Orange | Another box delivery — a time that runs into it is refused |
| Grey, striped On a job | A crew job that day — you are asked before it is booked, but you can still book them |
Press a name to send them, or press an empty time on a row (or drag the delivery) to send them then.
Under the schedule, Receiving the boxes is the name of the person taking the boxes. It starts with the order's contact; change it when someone else will be there. It is the name the person delivering sees in their Mover's Portal and the name on the box emails and texts. If the order has no contact name, type one here — the booking can't go ahead without it ("Type the name of the person receiving the boxes").
Need to see more? Press Open schedule (top right of the schedule). It opens big — most of the screen, with everyone who can deliver that day as a row (foremen and drivers too), the hours across and the windows above. Pick the person and the time the same way (press or drag), then press Use this: it closes back into the booking with your pick. Cancel puts back what was picked before.
The total and Book & charge stay at the bottom of the right side, under the part that scrolls — they never cover the card form.
3. Payment
The lines the customer pays: Boxes & supplies, Delivery (free when your settings say so — over a total, or with a bundle), Sales tax on its own line when your company charges it, the Total, and the Card fee when your company charges one on card payments — all shown before you charge.
Pick the card: one on file, A new card (kept on file unless you untick it), or Charge later. If you are allowed to waive the processing fee, Waive the card fee this time leaves it off. Add Notes for the person delivering (gate code, call first…).
Press Book & charge. MoveBoard checks the time and the person first, then charges the card, then books the delivery as Scheduled. A declined card books nothing.
If the person you picked is already on a crew whose job runs into the delivery's window, MoveBoard asks first: This crew member is currently already dispatched to Order #… at this time. Do you still wish to schedule them for this box delivery? Yes books it (and charges the card); Cancel books and charges nothing. The same question comes when you reschedule or reassign a delivery from its own window. The delivery appears on the order's Box delivery card, on the calendar, and in that person's Mover's Portal.
See it on the order
Once a box delivery is booked, the order shows it at a glance:
- the Services button turns blue and says Box delivery under the icon (as long as a delivery is still to come; it is also blue while an estimate visit is booked);
- a chip under the order's top bar reads, for example, Box delivery · Thu Oct 8, 8–10 AM · Johnny Walker — blue while it is scheduled, amber while it still waits to be scheduled (To schedule), green once Delivered, grey and crossed out when Cancelled. Press it to open the delivery.
Anything you picked stays in the pop-up if you close it, until you book it.
Box money is separate
The order's Box delivery card says Paid for boxes $X — separate from this move. Box money is never added to the moving day's total, the order's payments or balance, the deposit, or the crew's bill — the crew never charges it again. The Payments window shows it only in a read-only Box delivery (not part of this move) block.
