Most moves are one day. When a move runs longer — a packing day, the load, a night in storage, the delivery — each day is its own job with its own date, crew, trucks, arrival window and price.

Add a day

  1. Open the order and press + Add Day at the foot of Move Details.
  2. In Add a day, pick the Service and the Date. MoveBoard suggests the day after the last day, on the service of the day you're looking at.
  3. Press Add the day.

The new day is added and priced straight away. It starts from the day you were looking at — its addresses, size and settings — with a fresh crew, truck and rate. MoveBoard then shows the new day.

Two days may share a date — for example, load in the morning and deliver at night — each on its own truck.

Move between days

With more than one day, the Order, Move Details and Quote Details cards sit in a Multi Day Move band. Under View Day there's a numbered circle for each day, then ALL.

  • Press a circle to see that day. Everything in the window follows: the cards, the addresses and the closing.
  • Press ALL to see the whole order's totals. The cards are read-only there — Select a Day to see details.

Put the days in another order

Drag a circle onto another to swap the two days, or to the edge of one to slide it there. The new order is saved at once and the days are renumbered.

Save any other changes first — otherwise MoveBoard says Please save your changes first, then move the days. Days can't be moved on the closing side or once a job has started.

Take a day off

  1. Pick the day.
  2. Press Delete this Day under the cards.
  3. Confirm with Yes.

You can't take off a day that a crew has already been sent to, and a move always keeps at least one day (A move needs at least one day.). Days are taken off on the sales side, not the closing side.

Long-distance moves over two days

A long-distance move done in one day drives straight: office → pickup → delivery → office. Made into two days, it doesn't — the crew loads on day 1 and delivers on day 2:

  • Day 1 runs office → the start address(es) → office.
  • Day 2 runs office → the destination(s) → office.

When you add a second day to a long-distance move, MoveBoard gives each address to its day: the pickups to day 1, the deliveries to day 2 (an extra stop goes with its kind). Each day's travel time, route, Total, schedule block, bill of lading, crew bill and customer page then count only that day's own addresses. The pickup → delivery distance still prices the line haul, as before. A move counts as long distance by its service (Long Distance Interstate or Intrastate), whatever its calculation is set to.

An open two-day long-distance order made before this opens with the split already in the draft — Two-day long distance: Day 1 picks up, Day 2 delivers… — press SAVE to keep it, or Discard to leave it. A Reserved or Booked order keeps its agreed travel until you save.

Which day an address belongs to

On a move with more than one day, every address card shows a small Day tag under its title (Day 1, or Days 1 & 2 when both days visit it). Press the tag and pick another day to move the address there — it's a change like any other: SAVE keeps it, Discard undoes it. Every day keeps at least one address it visits.

Local moves over several days (a packing day and the move day, for example) work exactly as before. A travel time you typed by hand (in red) still wins.
