Travel time on long-distance moves
Which drives count as travel time on a long-distance day — the four ways MoveBoard can measure the trip, and how to pick one.

The line haul pays for the long drive itself. Travel time is the time your crew spends getting to and from the work, and it can be charged separately. Settings › Long distance › Travel time decides which legs of a long-distance day count.
The letters
MoveBoard names the three places with letters, as the page's notice says: Notice: A - Origin, B - Destination, C - Company address.
The four ways
| Way | What counts |

| Way 1 | In one direction (From C to A or B to C): — then pick the Direction: Shortest, Longest, From C to A or From B to C. |
| Way 2 | From C to A plus from B to C — the drive from your office to the pickup, plus the drive from the delivery back to your office. |
| Way 3 | All distance (From C to A plus from A to B plus from B to C) — the whole trip. |
| Way 4 | From A to B — only the drive between the two homes. |
The drive from A to B is already paid for by the line haul, so a way that leaves it out (Way 1 or Way 2) avoids charging it twice.
A move over two days
When a long-distance move takes two days, each day is its own trip: day 1 is office → pickup → office, day 2 is office → delivery → office, and each day's travel time is worked out from that day's own addresses. See Multi-day moves.
Choose a way
- Open Settings › Long distance › Travel time.
- Press a way. It saves at once — there is no Save button.
- For Way 1, also pick the Direction.
This page is for long-distance days only. Local moves have their own setting — see Travel time and truck speed.
If something goes wrong
If the save is refused, your old choice comes back and a red line says why. Only people who can change settings can press the tiles.
