Long-distance stages

Long-distance stages (a list of coloured steps for each long-distance order) are not offered yet — how to follow a long-distance move today.

Some moving software lets you keep your own list of long-distance stages — "Picked up", "In storage", "Out for delivery" — and set one on each order by hand. MoveBoard doesn't offer that page yet, so you won't find it in Settings › Long distance.

Follow a long-distance move today

You don't need to set stages by hand: MoveBoard works them out from the trip.

  • The order's status stays as for any order — Booked, then Completed when the job is done. See Lead statuses.
  • The trip's status shows where the truck is: Planning, Scheduled, In Transit, Completed, Settled. While a trip is in transit, the board shows its progress, such as "6 of 11 stops". See Trip statuses.
  • The order's Delivery half shows the trip the order is on, its status and the planned delivery day, and any storage stay. See Delivery dates and the delivery spread.
  • The SIT board lists every shipment waiting in a warehouse. See Storage in transit.

What the customer sees

Switch on Shipment milestones in the client portal on Trips › Trailers & settings. The customer's portal then shows Booked → Picked up → In transit / In storage → Out for delivery → Delivered, moving on by itself as the driver marks the stops. The trip also sends the customer messages at each step.

Want custom long-distance stages? Ask for them — see Roadmap and feature requests.
