- For owners & admins
The Trip Planner has its own settings page: Trips › Trailers & settings. Each part has its own Save, lit only when you changed something in it.
Trailers
Your trucks are added in Settings › Dispatch › Trucks. Trailers live here:
- Press Add trailer (the New trailer pop-up opens).
- Fill in the Name, Capacity, cu ft (3,800 to start), Capacity, lb (26,000 to start) and Inside length, ft.
- Press Save.
Press a trailer to change it.
Trucks: weight limits and lengths
For each truck, set the weight limit the capacity bars need and its Inside length, ft (load plan).
Trip planner settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Capacity headline | Cubic feet (household goods usually fill the cube first) or Pounds — the big percentage on each capacity bar. |
| Billable SIT period, days (before it converts to permanent storage) | 180 unless you change it. See Storage in transit. |
| Per diem, per person per day | The daily allowance on settlements. A trip can set its own on its Settlement. |
| Routing (miles and drive times) | Google Maps, or Truck-safe routing (PC*Miler). Until truck-safe routing is connected, the note says Truck-safe routing is chosen but not connected yet: miles and drive times come from Google until it is. |
| Drivers' hours-of-service cycle | 70 hours / 8 days (the default) or 60 hours / 7 days, for the weekly planning alerts across trips. |
| Vault holds, cu ft (load plan) | 200 unless you change it. |
| Load plan shows | Loose (linear feet) or Vaults to start with. |
Customer messages
The switches decide which messages trips send customers by themselves. Each switch saves at once. The words are the company's: Settings › Communication › Templates, folder Trips.
- Driver on the way, with arrival estimate
- Delivery scheduling
- 24-hour delivery notice
- Delay message by email or text — never sent by itself; offered when you record a delay.
- Shipment milestones in the client portal — Booked → Picked up → In transit / In storage → Out for delivery → Delivered.
