On this page
A trip moves through five statuses. The buttons in the trip window's top bar move it on; each one works on the saved trip, so if you have changes on screen, press SAVE first.
| Status | Means | Where it shows on the board |
|---|---|---|
| Planning | Being put together | Upcoming trips |
| Scheduled | Ready to go | Upcoming trips |
| In Transit | On the road — Loading while pickups remain, Delivering once the first delivery is done | Active trips |
| Completed | Every pickup and delivery done | Completed trips |
| Settled | The money is closed; nothing on the trip changes | Completed trips |
Move it on
- Mark Scheduled (from Planning).
- Start Trip (from Planning or Scheduled). The trip needs at least one order, a truck or trailer, a driver, and a departure date.
- Complete Trip (from In Transit). Every pickup and delivery must be done or skipped.
- Mark Settled (from Completed) — only for people with Can see trip profit and settlements. Sending the settlement also settles the trip; see Driver settlement.
A settled trip says This trip is settled: nothing on it changes. Someone with Can see trip profit and settlements can press Reopen it to put it back to Completed.
Follow the trip on the road
Once the trip is In Transit, the Overview tab shows the active trip: the driver and truck, "6 of 11 stops", Current and Next, and every stop with its buttons:
- Arrived — the truck is at the stop.
- Done (or Loaded at a pickup, Unloaded at a delivery) — the stop is finished.
- Skip — the stop won't happen on this trip.
- Undo — put a done or skipped stop back.
A driver on the trip can mark their stops from the Mover's Portal too. A pickup that is not delivered on this trip goes into the warehouse as a carrier hold.
Send the itinerary
Send Itinerary texts and emails the trip's itinerary to the driver and co-driver, to the phone and email on their user record. A notice says who got it and who didn't (for example "no phone or email"), and the trip's Activity tab keeps the same line.
Delete a trip
While a trip is in Planning and has no orders, Delete this trip is at the bottom of the trip details on Overview.
