Dispatch & scheduling
Trucks out of service
A truck you mark unavailable for a day is off that day's schedule and can't take a job. A truck that has jobs on a day can't be marked unavailable until the jobs are moved.

You can take a truck off the road for a day (a repair, an inspection, a day off) in Settings › Dispatch › Trucks › Truck Availability, or on Dispatch › The fleet.
What "out of service" does
On a day the truck is out of service:
- It isn't on that day's truck schedule in the order window, and it isn't on the Dispatch board.
- It isn't counted in Trucks Available or in the Calendar's day bars.
- Nobody can put a job on it — not the office, and not a customer booking online. If an order already has it, the order can't be set to Can Book Online, Reserved or Booked until the job is moved to another truck: MoveBoard says Truck #19 is out of service on Sat, Oct 24. Put the job on another truck first.
A truck with jobs can't be taken off the road
If the truck has jobs on a day — booked, reserved, Can Book Online, or any order the schedule shows on it — that day can't be made unavailable.
In the Truck Availability calendar these days are red. Press one to see why and which orders are on it, for example Truck #19 has 2 jobs on Sat, Oct 24 — remove the jobs from this truck first, then you can take the truck off this day. with the order numbers under it. Press an order number to open it and move the job to another truck. Once the last job is off, the day turns back to the available colour; press it to take the truck off that day, then Save Setting.
Ticking a month's On/Off leaves red days alone and says how many it skipped.
If you try to save such a day anyway, the save is refused with the same words, and nothing changes.
A day that is already out of service with jobs on it
A day marked out of service before this rule, with jobs still on the truck, is fixed from the truck's calendar:
- The truck still doesn't show on that day's schedule — not on the Dispatch board and not in the order window. Its jobs are listed under TBD / Unassigned jobs on the Dispatch board, so they are never lost.
- In Settings › Dispatch › Trucks › Truck Availability the day is dark red (Out of service — move these jobs). Press it for the same message and the orders; press an order number to open it and move the job to another truck.
- Ask Ed "what's on dispatch tomorrow?" and he names any such truck and its orders.
