Texts the crew gets
Which texts or emails your movers get when you build crews, put them on jobs, take them off, change the report time or cancel a job — and how to change the words.

MoveBoard tells your movers about their work by text (or email) from your company's templates. Nothing goes out while you're still building a crew — the texts follow what you save.
What sends what
| You do this | Who is told | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| Press Send Notification on the Crew Schedule | Everyone on a crew who hasn't been told yet | Their crew and report time (a new crew's text, or an updated one) |
| Change Report at on a sent crew and answer Yes, proceed | Everyone on that crew | The new report time |
| Take someone off a sent crew, or take the crew off the day | The people taken off | Their crew was removed |
| Put a crew on a job (drag it, or Assign crew) | The people newly on the job | New Job Assignment — the order, date, window and crew |
| Put a delivery crew on a long-distance job | The people newly on the delivery | The same, worded as the delivery, with the delivery dates, window and address |
| Take people off a job, or Unassign crew | The people taken off | Job Assignment Removed — no longer assigned to the pickup or delivery of the order |
| Cancel an order that has a crew | Everyone on its crews, any day not over | Job Cancelled |
A person moved between crews of the same job isn't told. Cancelling sends only the cancelled text, never the removal text too, and un-cancelling sends nothing.
When texts don't go
- Only for today or later — changing a day that's over tells nobody.
- The template must be active — each kind of text goes only while your company has an active template for it.
- The person needs a mobile number (or an email, for an email template) and must be an active employee.
- Nobody is told twice for the same thing.
Sending never holds up your save: if a text can't go, the crew is still saved.
Where the texts link
The crew texts include your company's Mover's Portal address so the person can open their schedule — see Sign in to the Mover's Portal. There they CONFIRM (or DECLINE) the day, and the answer shows on the Crew Schedule straight away.
Change the words
- Go to Settings › Communication › Templates.
- Find the crew templates — for example New Job Assignment, Job Assignment Removed, Job Cancelled and your crew schedule texts.
- Edit the words, or switch a template off to stop that text.
Every company starts with Job Assignment Removed and Job Cancelled switched on. Each text is kept in the person's conversation and the day's Change Log on the Crew Schedule.
