Send the ETA text and go En Route
Before you drive off, tell the customer when you'll arrive — the text goes first, then the job moves to En Route. What to do with no signal or no text.

Leaving for the customer is two things in one press: the customer gets a text with your arrival time, and the job moves to En Route so the office sees you're on the way. The text always goes first.
Send it
- Open the job. It opens on Job Details.
- Press EN ROUTE at the bottom.
- Arrival Time Notification opens. It shows Heading to and the address — tap it to open Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps and check the drive.
- Will arrive in is filled in from Google's driving time from where you are. Change it with − and + (15 minutes at a time).
- Press Send SMS.
The customer gets the text, the job moves to En Route, and your phone opens the move details with ARRIVED. If you left the screen to check the map, it opens again with your minutes still there.
The text the customer gets
It comes from your company's Movers on the way template (Settings › Communication › Templates), with your ETA in it. Every company starts with one; the office can change the words.
No signal
If the text didn't go out, the job is not moved to En Route — so the customer is never left wondering:
- No signal — try again when you have signal — get to a spot with signal and press Send SMS again.
- The text did not go out, so the job is still not En Route. Check the signal and tap Send SMS to try again.
After two failed sends, Continue without text shows. Use it only if you really can't send: the job goes En Route, and the office is told to call the customer.
Continue without notifying
Continue without notifying shows only when:
- your company switched on Foreman can skip customer ETA SMS (Settings › Crew › Foreman app), or
- your company has no arrival-time message set up — the screen says No arrival time message is set up for your company, so the customer cannot be notified. Please contact your administrator. You can still continue without notifying.
The order notes that no ETA text went out.
When the customer wasn't told
Whenever you go En Route without the text reaching the customer — skipped, failed twice, no message set up, or the number can't get texts:
- Everyone on your crew sees Call the customer: The customer never received the arrival text. Please call them to let them know when you'll arrive., with the customer's number to tap. Press Got it once you've called.
- The office gets a pop-up on the Dispatch board asking them, or you, to call.
When you tap the number, the office sees that you tapped to call, and when.
If something goes wrong
- ETA cannot be 00. Please update ETA.
- Current location is not detected. Please make sure that you have enabled location services on your device. — you can still set the minutes yourself.
- Send the customer the ETA text first. The job can't go En Route until it has gone out.
