Release forms
When the customer asks for something risky — hoisting, a tight stairway, items you'd rather not move — have them sign a release form on your phone.

On this page
A release form records that the customer asked for work your company doesn't cover — hoisting a sofa over a balcony, squeezing through a tight hallway — and releases your company from damage it may cause.
Who can open it
The Release Forms tile opens for foremen, for the person the order is assigned to, and for office staff who may see other users' orders. Anyone else sees it greyed with No access — "You don't have access to view release forms".
Write one
- On the job screen, press Release Forms, then Add Form.
- The form starts: I, [Full Name] am hereby requesting the additional services that are not covered by your company. Type the customer's full name.
- The customer signs the first box (Sign: Shipper or Agent Signature at Origin).
- Switch on each service being released — your company's list (for example Hoisting Service).
- For each service you switched on, add what's needed: - the cost, if your company lets the foreman change it; - the quantity and total (on Hoisting Service); - a description; - the address it happens at; - a photo (Add photo).
- Need something not on the list? Press Add Service (if your company allows it) and type its name. You can delete a service you added.
- Read the release paragraph with the customer.
- The customer signs the second box. That submits the form and takes you back to the list.
The form saves itself as you go — there's no Save button. Until it's signed it shows as a Draft.
After it's signed
- The list shows Release Form Signed, the date it was last changed and how many items were released.
- A signed form can't be changed. Open it and press Printed form (PDF) to see the printed copy.
- A PDF of the signed form is filed on the job for the customer.
- The office sees a green Release Forms icon on the job's card on the Dispatch board.
What your company decides
In Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Release form, per move type: the services on the form and their costs, Foreman Can Change Service Cost and Foreman Can Add Services.
