When you pull up at the customer's, mark that you've arrived, then start the job's time on the bill of lading.

Press ARRIVED

  1. On the move details screen (where the job opens while you're en route), press ARRIVED.
  2. MoveBoard warns: Clicking view contract will change the crew status to arrived at the customer’s location. You will not be able to go back. Do you wish to proceed?
  3. Press Yes proceed.

The job moves to Arrived and opens on its tiles (see The job screen). From here Back doesn't return to the move details.

Only someone on the crew can mark a job arrived; anyone else sees You are viewing this job; only the crew can mark it arrived.

Start the clock

Open the Bill of Lading tile. How the time is counted is your company's choice (Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Bill of lading rules, Calculate Labor Hours by):

Time Input (picking the times)

  1. Under the labor block, press Start Time: and pick the time you started. The list opens at the time now; you can pick an earlier time. A start earlier than now reads in red so you notice it.
  2. The customer signs under it — see Stop times and customer signatures. The signature files the start time.
  3. When the work is done, pick End Time: and have the customer sign again.

Times go in 15- or 30-minute steps, as your company set.

Start Button (a timer)

  1. The customer signs the start signature first.
  2. Press Start. The Total runs while you work.
  3. Press Pause to stop it (MoveBoard asks Are you sure you want to pause?), and Start to carry on.
  4. Stop the timer before the end signature — otherwise you'll see Please stop timer before signing.

What the customer sees meanwhile

While a time is entered but not signed yet, a yellow box shows Estimated labor with the times entered (not signed yet) and the estimated total — what the bill will be, for you to show the customer. Official figures below count signed times only — they update when the customer signs the times.

Your location

If your company asks for the crew's location (Crew location in Settings › Crew › Foreman app), allow it when your phone asks. Nobody follows it on a map: live crew tracking isn't offered yet, so customers and the office can't see where the crew is (Crew tracking).

If something goes wrong

  • That did not save. Try again. / No connection. Try again when you have signal. — on ARRIVED.
  • A start or end time that isn't picked yet is outlined in red when the customer tries to sign.
