When you're on a long-distance trip — as the driver or on its crew — a Trips tab appears at the bottom of the Mover's Portal.

Your trips

  1. Press Trips. Your trips lists each trip: Trip # and its name, its status (Planning, Scheduled, In Transit, Completed), when it leaves and when it's due back.
  2. Tap a trip to open it.

No trips means you're not on a long-distance trip right now.

The stops

The trip's stops are grouped by day. Each stop shows what it is (pickup, delivery and so on), the order number and customer, the address, and the planned time, window, cubic feet and pounds, plus any note from the office.

On each stop:

  • Navigate — opens your maps to the address;
  • Call — calls the customer;
  • Bill of lading — on a pickup or delivery, opens the customer's bill of lading right from the trip — for the trip's driver and crew too, foreman or not. You weigh, take the signatures and collect on it. When the trip carries the delivery, it's the trip's driver and crew who sign the DELIVERY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (once the pickup is submitted), and office users who can edit the bill — not the local crew that picked it up. A Warehouse out stop has none — the bill was signed at the house. Back returns to the trip.

The stop you're at or heading to next is marked in green.

Mark the stops

Once the office starts the trip (In Transit), each stop has buttons:

  • Arrived — you're at the stop;
  • Done — the stop is finished (a ✓ shows);
  • Skip — the stop didn't happen (it shows Skipped).

Before the trip starts, the screen says The stops can be marked once the office starts the trip.

Another company's load

Some stops are a load you carry for another moving company. The stop says Load for the company and their job #, and at delivery collect $… before unloading (and the deposit they already took, so you can explain it). Their paperwork (their bill of lading or inventory) opens from the buttons on the stop.

  • At the pickup, Done asks the Actual cu ft loaded.
  • At the delivery, Done asks what you collected for the company and how it was paid (Cash, Check or Other).

MoveBoard sends their customer no messages: call them with Call.

Expenses

Under the stops, Expenses lists what you've spent on the trip.

  1. Press Add.
  2. Fill in What for (fuel, tolls, hotels, parking, scales, local labor, truck, miscellaneous), Amount, Paid with (Company card, My own money or My advance) and a Note.
  3. Press Photo of the receipt and take a picture.
  4. Press Save.

Advance given to you shows the cash the office advanced you for the trip — see My advance.

No signal on the road

Every tap shows straight away and is kept on the phone. With no signal it waits — marked Waiting for signal — and is sent, with the time you made it, when the signal is back. The trip also reads itself again every minute, so a route the office changed shows up.

If something goes wrong

  • Pick what the expense was for. / Type the amount. / Who paid?
  • That did not save. — with "(sent when the signal came back)" when it was refused after waiting.
