How customers build their inventory
The customer's inventory page — rooms, the item catalog, the typical list, AI from photos or a list, a spreadsheet — and what reaches you when they press "I'm done — send to my mover".

On this page
When a customer lists what they're moving, your quote follows their real inventory instead of a guess. Ask for it with Send the inventory link; this is what they do with it.
The page
My Inventory fills the screen: the rooms on the left (chips across the top on a phone), the open room's items in the middle, and your company's item catalog on the right. The totals and Save inventory sit at the bottom.
Build the list
- Add room — pick a room type (Please Select Room Type) or name their own.
- Tap items in the catalog to add them to the open room — or Search: sofa, dresser, box… and press Enter for the first match. Something not on the list is added as their own item.
- Change quantities with + and −.
- Save inventory saves as they go.
A new inventory starts with the rooms of their move size. The first time, if your company keeps a typical list for that size, a pop-up offers Use the typical list (room by room, with items, cu ft and lbs) or Build my own list. Using it never lowers a number they already set.
Faster ways in
- Build with AI — Let AI build your inventory: Take photos (room by room with the phone's camera), Upload photos, or Paste a list. Find my items suggests the items; they check, change or remove each one, then Add to my inventory (or replace their list). Nothing is added until they confirm.
- Upload a spreadsheet — a CSV or Excel list goes into a room (Add these from your spreadsheet?). With no room yet, the rooms the sheet names (a Room column) are made for them — or one room, My items, when it names none — and the preview says so before anything is added.
Sending it to you
When the list is complete, they press I'm done — send to my mover. It's sent to you once — also if they leave the page after saving, or after fifteen quiet minutes. Home then confirms it was sent.
On your side:
- The order's inventory and cubic feet update, and the quote is worked out again.
- A New order — or one in Follow Up, Can Book Online and the like — moves to New Info so someone checks it. Orders already in another New status, or reserved, booked or postponed, keep their status.
- While they're building, the order window shows that the customer is working on their inventory.
When it's locked
Once the move is Reserved or Booked the page says Your move is reserved or booked, so the inventory can no longer be changed here. Please contact your moving specialist to discuss your changes. With Edit inventory off in the designer, they see the list without editing it.
If something goes wrong
- We couldn't save your inventory. Please try again. / We couldn't send your inventory. Please try again.
- No inventory items were detected in the photo(s). — better light, one room per photo, or paste a list.
- That spreadsheet could not be read.
