Track your movers in the client portal

Every move in the customer's portal has a Track your movers page — their stops and route before the day, the live map on the day, the foreman's name once one is assigned, and the job chat.

On this page

When your crews use the movers' phone app and the live map is on, every move in your customer's portal has Track your movers in the menu, right under Home. It is the same page as the live map link in the crew's arrival-time text, inside the portal with the menu beside it.

What the customer sees

Before the move day

  • A line at the top: This page will be active on the day of your move.
  • Your movers — Your movers will show up here on the day of your move, with a Message your movers button.
  • Your route — a map of their own addresses as stops, lettered A, B, C… in the same order as the live map, and the drive through them. Beside it (below it on a phone), the list of stops, each titled over its street from the stop type on the order: A · Pickup, B · Extra pickup, C · Extra drop-off, D · Destination (Extra pickup & drop-off for a stop that is both, Extra stop for one with no type). The live map link lists them the same way.
  • Message your movers opens the job chat. Before a foreman is assigned, what they write goes to your office (it arrives like any job chat message — see Job chat).

Once a foreman is assigned to the job, the card says exactly what the live map link says: Mike is your foreman — Questions on the day? Write to Mike and the office here — with a Message Mike button. The foreman sees the same chat in the movers' phone app.

On the move day

  • Until the crew presses En Route, the page looks as above.
  • From En Route the line at the top goes and the map turns live: the truck, its route to the next stop, the move status (En Route · On the way to the pickup (A)) and the arrival time (Arriving in about 10 min, around 10:28 AM). It updates by itself every few seconds. Enlarge map opens it over the whole screen.
  • When the bill of lading is submitted: Your move crew has finished.

Only the customer's own move is shown, and only to them.

The job chat

The job chat lives only here — the portal menu has no separate Job chat any more (an old Job chat link opens this page with the chat open).

  • It opens only from the Message Mike / Message your movers button. On a phone it fills the screen, like a messaging app; the back arrow returns to the map. On a computer it opens as a panel over the page, with the map still in sight behind it. Esc closes it.
  • A red count on the button, and on Track your movers in the menu (a red dot on the menu button on a phone), shows the messages from the foreman and your office the customer hasn't read. Opening the chat reads them and the count goes.
  • A text when you write. When the foreman or your office writes and the customer isn't on the chat, they get one text: You have a new message from your movers: and your short link, which opens Track your movers with the chat already open. More messages before they read the chat send no more texts. No text while they have the chat open, none during your quiet hours, and a customer who doesn't take texts gets the same as an email. Texts are charged like your other customer texts and show in the order log.
  • Change the words in Settings › Communication › Templates, folder Notifications: New message from your movers (text) and (email). The link is the variable Job chat link.
  • Turn the texts off in Settings › Customer experience › Job chat › Text the customer about new messages (on unless you switch it off).

The live map link from the crew's arrival-time text works the same way: no chat box under the map — the Message Mike button opens the same chat as a pop-up, with the same red count.

When it is in the menu

  • Your crews use the movers' phone app (live tracking is on for your company), and
  • Customer movers track is on in Settings › Customer experience › Track the movers, or Job chat is on in Settings › Customer experience › Job chat and the move has a day with a crew job.

If neither is on, the menu has no Track your movers and the page isn't there. With Job chat on but Customer movers track off, the page shows the movers card, the chat and the list of stops, without a map. With Customer movers track on but Job chat off, it shows the map with no chat and no message button.

Hide or rename it

Open Settings › Client portal › What customers see, then Menu items › Track your movers. Switch it off to take it out of the menu for the orders you picked, or click its name in the preview to rename it.
