On this page
The Quote Details card on the customer's Home shows their price, line by line, the way you've chosen to show it.
What's on the card
- The estimate type (for example Estimate Type: Non-Binding).
- The lines of the quote — labour, travel, fuel surcharge, packing, materials, additional services, valuation, discounts — as they apply to the move. Long-distance moves list their fees under the line they belong to.
- Estimated Grand Total:, and when they apply You save:, Payment: (everything paid on the move, less refunds) and Estimated Balance: — or, once the move is done, Balance: (the closing's total less what was paid, never below $0.00). See Receipts in the portal.
- Small i buttons beside lines such as Fuel Surcharge and Packing open a short explanation.
- A Quote Details link opens your company's explanation of how the quote works for this kind of move.
When the customer sees the quote
The quote shows when:
- the order's status lets them book or is reserved or booked, and
- your Quote display settings show that service's quote (when your company uses those rules), and
- the quote isn't hidden on the order.
The order's own Portal visibility switch (on the Customer card's Status) wins over the rest. Until the quote shows, Home says Your personalized quote is being prepared. See Hidden quote.
How the total is shown
In the client portal designer, choose Price the customer sees:
- Range — the low and high, e.g. $1,014 – $1,250.
- Estimate — one estimated total.
- Hourly — the hourly rate and estimated hours, no total.
Any line of the card can be hidden there too.

Good to know
- The portal shows the same figures as the order window's Quote Details card, so you and the customer are always looking at the same price.
- When you change the order and save, the portal shows the new price the next time the customer opens or refreshes the page.
- To send the quote by email or text, see Send the quote.
