A change order records a change to the job agreed on the day — more items, an extra stop, more hours — with the new price. It's written and signed with the crew on the job. See Write a change order.
What the customer sees in the portal
Once a change order has been signed or declined, Home's Move Status shows View your change orders. Change orders lists each one, with the same document the crew's phone showed — what changed, the price, the terms and the signature.
Nothing is signed in the portal: it's a read-only record so the customer can look back at what they agreed.
What doesn't show
- Drafts the crew didn't finish.
- Voided change orders.
Good to know
- Like the quote, change orders show once the customer can see the price.
- The terms printed on every change order are set in Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Change orders.
- Open the link your moving company sent you to see your change orders. — the customer isn't signed in; any of their links will do.
