A second contact on the move

Add a spouse, an assistant or a relocation manager to a move — what they receive, why they don't get the customer's sign-in, and how the customer or the office switches their copies off.

A move often has two people: the customer and someone else who needs to know — a partner, an assistant, the company's relocation manager.

Add them

  • In the office: on the order's Customer card, Add'l Contact — first and last name, email and phone, with Receive email and Receive SMS.
  • The customer: on their portal's Contact card, Edit › Additional contact, with Also send them every email and text.

Both switches are on for a new contact.

What they receive

Every email and text sent to the customer about this move — confirmations, reminders, the crew's on-the-way text, invoices, receipts, and what the office writes — goes to them as well, beside the customer.

They don't get:

  • the customer's sign-in codes,
  • your staff's or crew's own notifications.

The additional contact has no portal of their own. In their copy, the customer's sign-in links are swapped for your portal's sign-in page for this order — so they can't open the customer's portal as the customer.

Switch it off

The customer unticks Also send them every email and text, or the office switches off Receive email / Receive SMS. A message to them is then held: texts are switched off for this additional contact.

More on messages: Messages to the additional contact.
