Box deliveries send their own messages. Each one goes by itself at the right moment; you change the words in the Template Builder and switch any of them off there.
What the customer gets
The messages go to the contact on the box delivery — so someone who bought boxes on your website gets them even before they're a customer in MoveBoard.
| When | Text | |
|---|---|---|
| The order is placed and paid | Order received — what they ordered and what they paid | yes |
| The office books the day and time | Delivery scheduled | yes |
| The day or time changes | Delivery changed | yes |
| Before the delivery day (the reminder) | Reminder | yes |
| The crew presses Delivered | Delivered — with the crew's photos | yes |
| The office charges more for added boxes | Additional charge | — |
| Box money is refunded | Refund | — |
"Order received" and "Delivered" go once per delivery. Each message is written in the box delivery's log ("… message — emailed …, texted …").
Change the words, or switch one off
- Go to Settings › Communication › Templates and open the Box delivery folder. It's made with the default words the first time a box delivery needs it.
- Open a template, change the words, Save.
- To stop a message, make its template inactive. Make it active again to turn it back on.
Words you can use (besides the company's): [(${BOX_NUMBER})], [(${BOX_ITEMS})], [(${BOX_DATE})], [(${BOX_WINDOW})], [(${BOX_ADDRESS})], [(${BOX_TOTAL})], [(${BOX_PAID})], [(${BOX_AMOUNT})] (the extra charge or refund), [(${BOX_DELIVERER})], [(${BOX_RECEIVER})], [(${BOX_PHOTOS})], [(${BOX_RETURNS})], [(${BOX_TIMING})], [(${CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME})].
The reminder
The reminder goes once a day at the hour set in Settings › Services & packing › Box delivery (BBRM's: 8 AM the day before) to every delivery that's Scheduled or Loaded for that day — to the customer and to the person delivering, each by its own switch there.
The person delivering it
The person a box delivery is given to is told when it's given to them, moved, taken off them, cancelled, and the day before it. Each person chooses how in Settings › Team › Notifications under Box delivery for me (App, Email, Text). Someone who never chose gets it in the app and by text.
New box order
When a customer orders boxes on your website or in the client portal, the office is told with New box order (who, what, how much — call to schedule). Turn it on for each person in Settings › Team › Notifications under Bookings and payments. Until anyone in the branch turns it on, the people who can manage box deliveries get it in the app.
Off the live system
On a test system, emails and texts go only to the addresses and numbers on its allow-list; the rest are recorded but held.
