With RingCentral connected, MoveBoard is your phone: calls ring in the browser, you dial from the top bar, and every call is filed on the customer's order.
Before you start
- Your company uses RingCentral, set up in Settings › Integrations › RingCentral.
- You — or your branch — are connected. Check under your name, Connections (see Connect your email and phone).
- Allow the browser to use your microphone the first time it asks.
When it's all set, a handset appears in the top bar. If RingCentral isn't switched on for calling from MoveBoard yet, the handset still shows but calls can't be placed — the Phone panel says so.
Make a call
- From anywhere: press the handset (Phone). Recent calls lists the latest calls — press one to put the number in the keypad. Keypad: type or dial the number, then press Call. The number you call from shows beside the title.
- From a number: phone numbers on the Customer card and on the Calls page are buttons (Call with RingCentral) — press one to call.
Answer a call
A pop-up opens at the top right with the caller — your customer's name when the number is on an order — the number, and their orders.
- Answer, Voicemail (send it to voicemail) or Decline.
- More calls ringing at the same time wait under Also ringing — answer one instead (Answer this call instead, once you've finished the current call), send it to voicemail, or decline it.
- If someone else answers first, the pop-up says so — Answered by …, Answered on another phone — and its buttons go off.
During the call
| Button | Does |
|---|---|
| Hold / Resume | Puts the caller on hold and back |
| Mute / Unmute | Your microphone |
| Keypad | Sends tones — for menus that say "press 1" |
| Transfer | Type Transfer to number and press Send |
| Drop | Hangs up |
Press the pop-up's header to fold the call into the top bar: a dark pill with the time, the caller, Mute, the order and Hang up. Press it to open the pop-up again. With an order window in front, the pill sits in that window's title bar instead.
File the call on the right order
The pop-up marks the order the call will be filed on as Attached. To change it, press Attach here on another of the caller's orders, or Attach to a different order and search the order number. Open opens the order.
Afterwards the call — with its recording when there is one — appears in the order's conversation. See Calls in the order's conversation.
If something goes wrong
- The phone is still connecting to RingCentral — try again in a moment.
- The phone could not connect to RingCentral. Reload the page to try again.
- RingCentral needs to be reconnected — Settings › Integrations › RingCentral — the sign-in behind your line expired; reconnect it there or in Connections.
- Could not attach the call. Please try again.
- Call is greyed with Already on a call — finish the current call first.
