When messages go out
What time your automatic emails and texts reach customers — right away, at a set hour, or held until morning by quiet hours — and why a message you send yourself always goes at once.

Different messages go at different times. Here's when each kind reaches the customer.
| Message | When it goes |
|---|---|
| Something you send yourself — a text, an email, the quote | At once, any hour |
| An automatic message on a moment (booked, deposit paid, new lead…) | The moment it happens, day or night — unless its workflow keeps quiet hours |
| A workflow you made | After its Wait, and never between 8 PM and 8 AM if quiet hours are ticked (they are, unless you untick them) |
| A deposit or inventory link a workflow sends by itself | Never between 8 PM and 8 AM |
| The deposit or inventory link the office presses | At once |
| Automation timeline follow-ups and order reminders | Once a day, about 1 PM |
| Invoice reminders | Once a day, about 4 PM |
| Unsigned-document reminders | On their schedule, never between 9 PM and 8 AM |
All times are on your branch's clock.
Quiet hours
Quiet hours are part of Workflows. A workflow with them ticked never acts in the night; a run that would land then waits and goes at 8 AM — after checking again that the order still fits. See Quiet hours.
To keep a built-in message (for example the Booked email) out of the night, open it in Settings › Communication › Workflows and tick quiet hours on its Wait card.
Sending at a set hour
For "9 AM the day after", use the workflow's Wait › Until a time of day, or a date trigger with a time ("1 day before the move date at 10:00 AM"). See Wait.
Late messages are dropped, not sent late
If an automatic message's moment is more than 12 hours old by the time it would go, it's dropped. Daily reminders that missed their hour by more than three hours are skipped for the day. So a delay never turns into a midnight text.
